From 1 January 2024, new requirements for the composition of boards in Norway were introduced in order to promote gender equality in the business sector. The requirements are gradually introduced until 2028 based on the size and turnover of the company. The legal requirements imply a gender balance in boards with a minimum of 40% female directors and 40% male.

Board evaluation

A board evaluation includes a comprehensive assessment of the board's work, structure, processes and results. Its purpose is to identify strengths, weaknesses and potential for improvement in the performance of the board and contribute to a more effective management and management of the organization. The content of a board evaluation can vary depending on the size, complexity and industry of the organization, and we adapt the content and scope to suit the needs of the organization.

External board evaluation is recommended by NUES (Norwegian Committee for Corporate Governance and Corporate Governance) and provides an objective assessment based on quantitative and qualitative data.
