On behalf of Orkla Home & Personal Care we are seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Business Development and Strategy and to join their leadership team.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the executive team and rest of organisation, drive initiatives that transform their business landscape, and contribute the company’s long-term performance. In this position, you will have a key role in assessing and preparing strategic materials for executive meetings and management presentations. You will also lead, prepare, and implement strategic projects.

In this position you will work closely with the entire value chain and organization. You will gain insight into how to operate and manage an organization with an integrated value chain. The role also involves close collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Orkla Home & Personal Care offers exciting responsibilities and highly influential and strategic projects with significant senior management exposure. There is a good balance between managing own projects and leading own workstreams in more extensive projects. The role will report to the CEO of Orkla Home & Personal Care and work closely with the executive management team, including regular participation in management team meeting The head office is located at Skøyen in Oslo.

Scope of work:

  • Strategic and Operational Responsibility: Take ownership of delivering results by developing and implementing strategies, while working closely with the leadership team to ensure aligned execution and progress. The role will also ensure follow-up of the strategy and continuous evaluation, in close collaboration with the leadership team and key stakeholders

  • M&A: Drive M&A and divestment processes in close collaboration with the CFO, management team and Orkla’s investment team – from identifying opportunities to leading assessments and execution

  • Strategic Projects: Driving strategic projects across all parts of the value chain

  • Business analysis: Conduct analyses, identify key findings, and work closely with the CEO, CFO, and other relevant stakeholders

  • Executive Facilitation: Organize and lead management meetings, preparing strategic materials for management presentations

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree or similar with strong academic results 

  • Management Consulting Background:  5-7 years in a management consulting firm

  • Market Analysis: Experience in analysing markets, conducting due diligence, and identifying value-creation opportunities

  • Transformation Leadership:  Experience in managing large-scale transformation projects, including cost reductions and reorganizations

  • Industry Insight: Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or consumer industry is an advantage, but not a requirement

  • Communication: Clear and confident communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels

  • Leadership & collaboration: Motivating and collaborative leader with drive, energy, and integrity — able to influence and build engagement across teams

  • Language: Fluent in both Norwegian and English
