On behalf of Norwegian, we are seeking a dedicated and competent Group Controller ESG. As part of our ESG team, you will play a key role in strengthening and managing our ESG reporting processes and internal controls. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure robust ESG data management and compliance with regulatory frameworks such as the CSRD, the EU Taxonomy, and other reporting requirements.
Your contributions will be essential in delivering accurate, transparent, and compliant ESG reporting, while supporting strong internal controls that help mitigate risk and advance the company’s sustainability goals. The position reports to ESG Reporting Manager.
Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate ESG reporting processes in collaboration with subject matter experts across various departments
Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ESG data and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including CSRD, the EU Taxonomy, ESRS, and IFRS
Prepare the Group annual report together with the sustainability report, including data collection and analysis
Collaborate with external auditors on ESG assurance processes
Identify and manage risks associated with ESG data and financial processes
Contribute to the continuous improvement of ESG reporting and internal controls, including relevant systems
Qualifications and experience
Master's degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 4–6 years' experience in financial reporting, internal controls, audit, or sustainability reporting
Strong system competence and Excel skills; experience with ESG reporting tools is an advantage
Knowledge of ESG regulatory frameworks, such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ESRS, CDP, or GRI
Attended the Sustainability Academy (not required)
Understanding of internal controls, governance processes, and risk management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
