This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop the group’s financial accounting and reporting function, while managing a small, dedicated team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Group Accounting to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Group’s financial reporting across all divisions, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will report directly to the Group CFO and have personnel responsibility for two team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Group Accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS or GAAP
Manage, coach, and develop a team of two professionals (Accounting and ESG)
Oversee the coordination and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports
Develop, implement, and maintain standardized accounting policies and procedures across all business units
Manage and optimize the monthly, quarterly, and annual group closing processes
Ensure compliance with local, country, and international financial and tax regulations
Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure timely and effective resolution of audit findings
Collaborate closely with CFOs and finance teams across the Group to drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and financial reporting quality
Implement and enhance accounting systems and internal controls to strengthen financial governance
Provide leadership, training, and support to accounting teams across the Group, promoting best practices and a culture of excellence
Support M&A activities, including integration of acquired companies into the Group’s financial reporting structure
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
A relevant professional certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, ACCA) is highly desirable
Extensive experience in financial accounting and consolidation, preferably within a group or multi-divisional setting. Experience from a leading audit firm is also highly valued
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management systems, especially consolidation tools
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing accounting team
Analytical, strategic mindset with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in English. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language and/or German is an advantage
